Install LetKite in your AI client

Every client installs the same server: https://mcp.letkite.com/mcp. Sign in with your LetKite account in the browser window the client opens; there is no API key.

Pick your client for the shortest install. What happens at the first sign-in, and how to limit a client, is covered on Connect a client. You need an account with at least one machine connected, check both in the console.

Claude Code

As a plugin (recommended): add this marketplace once, then install the plugin. Updates arrive with the marketplace.

claude plugin marketplace add letkite/claude-plugins
claude plugin install letkite@letkite

Or add the server directly:

claude mcp add --transport http letkite https://mcp.letkite.com/mcp

Claude Code opens the LetKite sign-in page on first use. The plugin lives in the GitHub repository letkite/claude-plugins.

Claude on the web and the desktop app

  1. Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it LetKite and paste the server URL. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty: Claude registers itself.
  3. Choose Connect and sign in to LetKite in the window that opens, then turn LetKite on in the tools menu of a conversation.

Cursor

One click, from a terminal:

cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=letkite&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL21jcC5sZXRraXRlLmNvbS9tY3AifQ%3D%3D

Cursor asks to install the letkite server; approve and sign in. Or add the URL in Cursor Settings → MCP, see Connect a client.

VS Code

With GitHub Copilot's agent mode, paste this into the browser address bar:

vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22letkite%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.letkite.com%2Fmcp%22%7D

VS Code installs the letkite server and asks you to sign in. Or add it to .vscode/mcp.json, see Connect a client.

Codex

codex mcp add letkite --url https://mcp.letkite.com/mcp

This adds LetKite to ~/.codex/config.toml. Sign in with codex mcp login letkite or in the browser on first use.

Kimi Code

Add the server to ~/.kimi-code/mcp.json (all projects) or .kimi-code/mcp.json (one project), or run /mcp-config in the TUI:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "letkite": { "url": "https://mcp.letkite.com/mcp" }
  }
}

Run /mcp-config login letkite to sign in with your LetKite account in the browser.

Windsurf, Zed and other clients

Any client that supports Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 can install LetKite from the server URL alone: add https://mcp.letkite.com/mcp in the client's MCP settings and sign in in the browser on first use. If your client cannot register itself yet, write to contact@letkite.com.
